How to create Google XML Sitemap  ?

It is so easy .Let’s take first step .

1. Install and activate Plugin :Go to plugin –>Search “Google XML Sitemap ” –>Install and activate .
2. Settings for Google XMl Sitemap :Now you have successfully installed and activated the plugin .Go to Settings –>XML-Sitemap 
3. Do the following settings section wise .
   1. Basic Options Settings :This section  notify Google,Bing about updates of your Blog .Do the settings shows in screen shot .
   2. Sitemap Content :This is important section tellssearch engine  that what content needs to add in XML sitemap .Include home page,post ,categories ,tag pages .Do the settings as per screen shot  .
   3. Exclude Section  :Here you can Excluded categories or Exclude posts which search engine do not wan to crawl .If you have Uncategorized category then exclude it else delete it from category section . 
   4. Change frequencies :This section tells how your page ,post ,static pages ,category ,tag pages ,author pages should crawl by search engine .
   5. Priorities :This section tells search engine that what is priority for your home page ,posts ,Static pages,Categories, Archives,Author pages .Keep default settings .

Now your blog is ready to crawl by major search engines Google ,Bing and Yahoo .

What happen after doing above settings in Google XML sitemap ?

The above settings XML file in to the background .Just click on link and see how your XML file look like .

click on Sitemap.xml and anaylse the XML .This XML gives details about  URL ,Priority,Change Frequency ,last modified date .
